Ship2Save extends RFID alliance with SAMSys and Sato

November 16th, 2004 - Montreal, Quebec

Ship2Save announced today its new RFID alliance members SAMSys Technologies and Sato Corporation. Theses RFID partners help broaden Ship2Save's ability to provide the flexibility it needs to deliver solutions to the growing list of enterprises embarking on their RFID pilgrimage.

Director of Business Development & RFID Strategy Sam Falsafi explains: " Each and every customer has different needs that need to be met. One, may ship carbonated drinks, another, cereal. Having the ability to align ourselves with RFID hardware vendors means being able to have the flexibility to select the most effective setup for each customer."

System Analyst Maninderpal Singh adds: "RFID equipment responds differently to its physical environment. Some equipment works best in harsh environments, other, in closed workspaces. Some equipment is more or less plug-and-play, other is a bit more complicated to setup. Some, like SAMSys equipment have tremendous flexibility, allowing a multitude of protocol and frequency compatibilities. Others, like Sato, provides leading industrial product lines of RFID printers, print engines, and smart RFID media. These RFID partners allow us to reinforce our integration and software expertise with a solid hardware component. "

"The integration of the Ship2Save offering with our SAMSys multi-protocol reader is an important development for the supply chain solutions being offered today," explains Steve Hall, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for SAMSys. "The ability to read with widest variety of UHF tag protocols, plus integrate that data into the Ship2Save solution in a seamless way, will provide immediate information about the user's product tracking and availability."

Jan Svoboda, RFID Product Manager at Sato adds: "SATO understands the importance of overall expertise necessary for a successful integration and rollout of RFID solutions. This is well reflected in SATO's partnerships, SATO RFID Solutions, and the technical expertise supporting SATO's products and customers."
